"From the high-altitude hills of Mogoon to the fast-paced, collaborative world of Nairobi film production, my life has been driven by a relentless curiosity for technology and creative expression."

The Spark of Curiosity

Born on January 7, 1990, in Eldoret, Kenya, I grew up as the youngest of six children in the serene village of Mogoon in Nandi Hills. Raised by my father, Stanly Kiptum Manyinya (a military intelligence officer), and my mother, Roselean Jerubet Manyinya, my early years were surrounded by Nandi's cold winds and beautiful landscapes.

My tech journey began at just four years old when my family acquired our first computer—a Windows 95 machine. That single device sparked a deep-seated fascination with digital worlds and gaming. Though we faced profound heartbreak when we lost our mother in 1998, my focus on learning, discovering, and exploring never wavered.

An Entrepreneurial Spirit

As I moved through schools like Kapsimotwa Preparatory and later Sunshine Secondary School in Nairobi, I developed a natural knack for enterprise. If classmates needed something, I found a way to provide it—whether it was selling lollipops and avocados, or burnt CDs loaded with the latest video games and movies.

Even when political challenges required me to transition to Terige High School, I adapted, threw myself into science congresses, and learned how to run a local cyber café to support my family. Every hurdle became a lesson in resilience and resourcefulness.

Bringing Stories to Life

In 2011, I committed fully to my creative passions, pursuing a diploma in Animation and Digital Design at the Nairobi Institute of Technology, followed by Film and TV Production studies at the Africa Digital Media Institute.

Today, I work behind the camera and sound boards. I've had the privilege of working as a sound technician on local sitcom classics like Auntie Boss and contributing to global, high-scale productions like Netflix’s Sense8.
